CFR class 78 DMU in Sibiu railway depot

CFR - DMU class 78-0750
CFR special railcar 78-0793-6 in Bucuresti-Nord station, 10/06/1998.
These 4-axle railcars date back to the 40's (built by Malaxa, Bucharest).
They are still used today, but some have a new diesel engine (Maybach,
250 hp.) Part of the 43 railcars have luxury interiors, and are used by
CFR directors, members of government... They are fitted out with a,
a lounge, bedrooms with shower... Their maximum speed is 100 km/h instead
of 80.
Original diesel engine: Ganz MG 220
Power: 220 hp.
Top speed: 100 km/h.
