CFR Deda - View of a Class 40 or 41 loco, I'm not sure, hauling a personal train from either Tirgu Mures or Bistrita to Brasov. Most tourist sites I have been to on the Internet give these trains a very bad reputation. From my travels, at least in the case of the Brasov subsidiary of CFR Calatori, I found these trains to be quite clean. They are rather slow, rolling at an average speed of anywhere between 40 and 70 km/h, but they are cheap and reliable. Daniel Ursu dursu1@jhu.edu Romania August 2002.
