CFR work draisine in Constanata yard. These small draisines are used at minor track interventions to carry the work crews and light stuff. They can reach a maximum speed of about 50 km/h. Because of their low height these draisines are also used by METROREX, which is Bucharest Metro company. The photo was made on 21 December 2001. As you can see there isn't any snow and the weather looks like spring.

Rail loading gantry crane part of a special rail loading/unloading train owned by CFR. The crane is designed to load/unload welded rails with a lenght of 300 meters. The crane runs on rails mounted on several standard platform wagons and is powered by a 49 kw engine. The train worked on Bucurrsti Nord-Campina railway line and is used for fast rail changing operations. CFR now owns 3 rail changing trains.

Partial view of the complete track rehabilitation machine RPM 2002 owned by Swietelsky. The machine executed complete track rehabilitation works on the romanian part of the IV Europeean railway corridor (Bucuresti Nord-Campina line). The machine is composed of a two-axeled trailer carrying fuel tanks, a four-axeled tamping machine, eleven-axeled excavation machine, two-axeled screening unit car, four-axeled crushing machine and a four-axeled drive machine with engiunes and hydraulic plant. The full equipped train weights 560 tons and has a lenght of 140 meters. The travelling speed is 100 km/h and the maximum working speed is 110 km/h.

Rapid raehabilitation MATISA type train, which worked on the romanian part of the IV Europeean railway corridor (Bucuresti Nord-Campina line). The mecanised refaction train MATISA P95 is designed for rapid track change works. The train is able to quickly remove the old line and sleepers and install new ones. The train has a lenght of 72 metres and a weight of 205 tons. It can travel with a maximum speed of 100 km/h. The sleeper crane is designed to take up to 30 sleepers from the sleeper carrying cars. It can place 24 sleepers/minute.

CFR woprk car type UAM 215-P in Constanta yard. The UAM 215-P is another vehicle from UAM familly. The main features of this car are the fixed platform and the hydraulic crane's lack. The car was designed for light track intervention which doesn't involve high loads lift. Although the car has the same carachteristics as the other UAM types, it's a little lower than the UAM 215-MB and lighter too. The total height is 3,8 metres and the total wheight is 25 tons. It's pwered by the same engine as the other uam types and has the same cabin which can caryy up to 10 people.

CFR track overhaul car type UAM 215-MB in Constanta yard. UAM type track overhaul cars are designed for ligh and medium size track work. The car is being produced in three variants depending on its field of use. The UAM 215-MB is specially designed for the transport of work crews and different pieces needed for track maintenance. Due to its hydraulic crane which can be adapted as a clamshell bucket, the car is able to load diferent materials such as rail pieces, sleepers or scrap material from digging work. Its 10 person cab can be used to carry the work personnel. The car is powered by a romanian built 256 hp diesel engine, has hiydraulic transmision and can reach a maximum speed of 80 km/h. The car is 14 meters long, has a height 4 meters and can haul loads of up to 300 tons. The crane can lift loads up to 7 tons, the platform has a load capacity of 10 tons and the whole car weights 29 tons. Such cars are wide used by CFR mainly for track maintenance but also for other works too.
