EVD-1 is a mobile diesel-electric power plant car, made by BMZ (the joint - stock company
 "Bryansk Engineerung Works", Bryansk city, Russia). It serves for power supply of newly 
erected and operating industrial and transport objects and settlements, located far from 
the power electric lines. It is also serves as a reserve power source, in emergencies and 
by  rescuer detachments.
Transportation is possible by rail, by water, by trailers.

Main technical data: generator power rating 1100 kW, rated voltage 6300 V, AC, specific fuel 
consumption at rated power 202 g/kWh, track gauge 1435 and 1520 mm, max. weight 76 t, max. 
lengh 18160 mm, transportation speed 100 km/h, assigned  resource till overhaul is 60000 h.
