RS-5 is the five-car refrigerator unit for gauge 1435mm and 1520mm, made by BMZ (joint - stock company "Bryansk Engineering Works", Bryansk city, Russia). The unit consist of four freight cars and one diesel-electric power car. Capacity of the every freight car is 47 tons, max. speed 120km/h. The equipment supports the temperature in the freight compartment from +14 to -20 C at ambient temperature from -50 to+38 C. Service life till overhaul is 16 years.
