6 trains of series EM4 were modernized from old ÝÐ2 on MLRZ in 2003-2004. They are intended for "new type" transport system - " Sputnik " - a high-speed train from Yaroslavskii vokzal to city Mytishi - near suburb of Moscow. The train does only one stop instead of 8 at usual suburbain trains, goes twice faster, and travel costs twice more dearly. Movement is carried out together with suburbain trains, distant passenger and cargo trains. In the morning and in the evening intervals between trains for 15 minutes, in the afternoon - on 1 hour. 
Among railwaymen and railfans trains ÝÌ4 are considered very unreliable because in cars the average door is cut, and it is not known as it will be displayed with rigidity of a body. Except for it the equipment of trains frequently breaks. However RZD wants to adjust movement "Sputniks" and on other directions from Moscow.
