M2 train in St. Peterburg Here is a Metro train in St. Peterburg (then Leningrad), on the line M2. I believe this is in the city center. I was trying to get a metro to Ploshchad Aleksander Nevskogo, so I would have had to transfer at Nevskiy Prospekt and cross to Gostinyiy Dvor to take M3 the rest of the way Photographed in August 1990. © 1990, 2005 Josh Hanz (josh_hanz@hotmail.com) |

Metro Map of Leningrad in 1990
This is a map of the Leningrad (today St. Petersburg) metro system as it was in August 1990. There were only four lines at the time. My hotel was at Ploshchad Nevskovo, where there is a transfer. (C) 1990, 2009 Josh Hanz (josh_hanz @ hotmail.com) |
