Zabailkalsk station is the russian border station to China on the trans-manchurian route.
On track no. 1 the diesel loco that brought us here is pulling back. Good visible is the double gauge track. Russian broad gauge and 1435mm normal gauge. On track no. 2 the trainset of train no. 02Ch "Vostok" to Bejing is waiting to be regauged from russian to chinese gauge in the shed with the green doors left of the station's tower.
