A MTAB (Malmtrafik i Kiruna AB) heavy freight locomotive Dm3. The axle formula of the loco is 1'D + D + D1'; vmax is 75 km/h. These locomotives have Russian knuckle couplers. MTAB operates only heavy iron ore freight trains for the LKAB (mining company) from Kiruna and Malmberget to Narvik in Norway and Lulea in Sweden. The picture is taken at the Narvik station on 8th august 2000 at 3 pm.
