MTAB IORE 101 & 102

Heavy duty freight locomotive of Malmtrafik AB. It will be used for pulling 8000t iron ore trains on the line Kiruna-Narvik in northern Sweden and Norway and will replace the old Dm3 locomotives.
The picture show the first of nine locomotive in front of the loco shed in Kiruna. It consists of the two identical sections 101 and 102.
 
Max speed 80 km/h. Continous rating 10800 kW. Weight 360 t.
