91 74 0000 101-7 S-MTAB, LKAB IORE 101 "Polcirkeln" coming through the passenger station with an empty ore train. 34 units of the IORE series were built 2000 to 2013 by Adtranz/Bombardier and are used in pairs in front of heavy iron ore trains between Narvik, Kiruna, Malmberget (Gällivare) and Luleå.

MTAB IORE 101 & 102 Heavy duty freight locomotive of Malmtrafik AB. It will be used for pulling 8000t iron ore trains on the line Kiruna-Narvik in northern Sweden and Norway and will replace the old Dm3 locomotives. The picture show the first of nine locomotive in front of the loco shed in Kiruna. It consists of the two identical sections 101 and 102. Max speed 80 km/h. Continous rating 10800 kW. Weight 360 t. Manufactured 2000 by Adtranz, Switzerland & Germany.
