19 June 2005, Malmö Central, Sweden
Train EN 110 "Berlin Night Express" (Berlin Ostbahnhof - Malmö Central) has arrived at Malmö central station; a sleeping car and SJ Rc2 1041 which has brought the train from the ferry port at Trelleborg can be seen on the left. The display reads: "Spår 2 / 08:05 Nattåg / Ankommande tåg från Berlin Ostbf / Välkommen till Malmö" (Track 2 / 8:05 am Night train / Arriving train from Berlin Ostbf / Welcome to Malmö). An SJ X2000 (X2) train in the old blue-white livery on what I believe to be track 5 at the terminus station of Malmö Central - the buffer stop is off the right edge of the Picture. The signs "X2 STOPP" and "RC STOPP" obviously indicate different stopping positions for X2 trainsets and Rc-type locomotives. Photo by Sven Manias (sven.manias@gmx.de) |

Järle station is the oldest one in Sweden.
Now it's used by Nora Bergslags Veteran-Jernväg
http://www.ska.se/%7Ebh/nbvj.htm. It was built
in 1854 on what was the first standard gauge
railway in Sweden.

19 June 2005, Norra Riddarholmshamnen/Arkivgatan, Stockholm, Sweden
A sign showing details about the reconstruction of the southern entrance to Stockholm Central and the widening of Norra Järnvägsbron is displayed on a barrier that closes off the Riddarholmen (southern) end of the adjacent foot and cycle bridge because of these construction works - its northern part is torn down and being rebuilt in a new alignment. In the map on the sign, North is on the left. The caption means: "The entrance to Central Station is improved - for more trains." Photo by Sven Manias (sven.manias@gmx.de) |
