Historic freight wagon OOt Oldenburg 574. These were among the first
self-unloading wagons for transporting coal and ore. Similar cars are
still in service today.

A luggage/material car for freight trains, type Pwg, as it was used at
the beginning of this century in Germany - the German equivalent of
what is called a caboose in America. This preserved unit is stored in
the former maintenance works of Braunschweig.

A historic ballast car of 1896, standing in front of the Talbot works in Aachen
as a monument, seen on 26 May 2003. These ballast cars with the possibility of
unloading either to the side or between the rails were built by Talbot since
1891. Today Talbot belongs to the canadian Bombardier group.

The sign in front of the historic ballast car at the Talbot works, seen on 26
May 2003. It says that these cars were built since 1891 and that this one is
from 1896. These cars with several unloading possibilitys helped Talbot to
become famous. Additionally some technical details are given on the sign.

cars there any more.

An old, preserved freight train stored at the former railway maintenance
works in Braunschweig. The first car is a box wagon with the
advertisement inscription of a brewery and a brakeman's cab, from the
time when freight trains had no air brakes.

The society "Hessencourier" wants to demonstrate the history of Hessian railroads. They operate trains regularly at the line Kassel - Naumburg mainly with steam-traction (http://www.hessendampf.de). All vehicles are registered through KNE. Hessencourier G10 with DRG-no. Kassel 55024 on 6th of June in Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe.
