Station of Toulouse-Arènes, on Metro Line C (Arènes-Colomiers).
Metro Line C began to run on 1st September 2003, using part of the Toulouse-Auch RFF line. This station is still managed by SNCF. It was rebuilt under the Metro Line C project, with funding from Région Midi-Pyrénées and SEMVAT/Tisseo. This station is both served by Metro and TER services. Metro Line C services terminate here. Those passengers with SEMVAT/Tisseo-only tickets have to change for Line A (Basso Cambo-Balma Gramont), whose station is further right, down the big building. SNCF ticket holders can conversely board a TER service to Toulouse-Matabiau. 19th April 2004. P.L.Guillemin (plguillemin@yahoo.fr) |

Hers Bridge of Metro Line A (Basso Cambo-Balma Gramont), seen from the front end of a VAL-206 set, bound for Basso-Cambo. One can notice than VAL tracks are very basic. Unlike heavier rubber-tyre Metros (Eg: Paris, Lyons, Marseilles, Mexico city, Santiago Chile), there are no conventional rails at all. 19th April 2004. P.L.Guillemin (plguillemin@yahoo.fr) |

Jolimont viaduct, seen from the Westbound platform of station "Jolimont" on Metro Line A (Basso Cambo-Balma Gramont).
This picture is looking towards Balma-Gramont. One can guess pretty easily on this viaduct where Line A exactly used to terminate, pre-2003. The extension to Balma-Gramont features here a 60 %o (1 in 16.66) gradient... One can spot the Hers Bridge in the background. 19th April 2004. P.L.Guillemin (plguillemin@yahoo.fr) |

Station "Le Toec", on Metro Line C (Arènes-Colomiers).
Metro Line C began to run on 1st September 2003, using part of the Toulouse-Auch RFF line. This station was paid for by SEMVAT/Tisseo, and is only served by Metro services, using the left-hand track. TER services conversely run fast, using the right-hand track. So far, the second platform has been built for nothing... 19th April 2004. P.L.Guillemin (plguillemin@yahoo.fr) |

Metro Line C (Arènes-Colomiers), seen from station "Le Toec", looking towards Arènes and Toulouse-Matabiau.
Metro Line C began to run on 1st September 2003, using part of the Toulouse-Auch RFF line. Track has been duplicated on (most of) Line C. Yet, the Arènes-Colomiers segment is operated as a "pair of single tracks" rather than as a genuine double-track: TER services use the left-hand track, while Metro services are confined to the right-hand track. 19th April 2004. Metro Line C began to run on 1st September 2003, using part of the Toulouse-Auch RFF line. Notwithstanding the TER livery and labels of SNCF and Région Midi-Pyrénées, this DMU was paid for in whole by SEMVAT/Tisseo. SEMVAT/Tisseo fares are applicable on those services. 19th April 2004.
