A good location at Basford sees 201, the first tram in number of the NET network (was the pun intended - dunno!, the numbering system was started from the last tram into service when Nottingham got rid of its tram system. One interesting thing of the day was the number of people (and most of the trams were at crush capacity) 'taking a ride' and made me think that it must have been like that when trams first ran in the city.

Photograph taken on 13 March 2004 at Nottingham Station Street (adjacent to Nottingham Midland Station) just a few days after the system opened on 09 March 2004. This is the terminus of the system (the other being Phoenix Park and Hucknall) and the trams firstly descend steeply onto a new viaduct at Station Street and then use the crossover to gain the correct platform.

Tram 207 shot at Basford station, this is in interesting location in that the railways parallels the tramway and an overbridge allows photgraphy of the Robin Hood Line. This shot works for me in that the subject is illuminated against a dark background, while the exposure is not perfect I don't think its al that bad.
