Open-room car (Nr. 84), originally built as a 1st-class (open-room, 56-seat) car (A9tj, DEV Inox-U64) in 1965 for top-tier, flagship mainline services of SNCF (with at-seat catering service). Declassified and rebuilt to 2nd class as B10 1/2tj (84 seats) in the mid-1980s, for regional/express services. Sold to IR in 1994, along with 7 other similar cars. Upon re-fitting to 2nd-class (mid-1980s), new seats similar to those of de-classified ex-TEE cars of SNCF (Inox 61-66-70 and Grand Confort) were fitted, albeit with brown plastic covers rather than beige carpeting.
