Vagon_Oravita_Anina.jpg (92358 bytes)

This is the only type of CFR passenger cars that are able to run on Oravita-Anina mountain line, due to itssharp curves (down to 100 m radius) and its clearance of tunnels far, far away from UIC standards. Their ride is vrey unpleasant, due to the fact that they are equipped with freight wagon bogies. Berzovia, 12 Jun 2003

This amazes me... Even if the 69/73 Diesel-Electric locomotives are (some, only were) equipped with power plugs for car heating, the cars have their electric connections removed, and this stove is used (I presume, after its fine aspect) for heating in winter. I don't think that heating two cars (the usual composition of the Oravita-Anina train) was using too much power... Oravita, 12 Jun 2003
