Mondscheinfahrt "Moonshine Special" with 99 5906 from Gernrode to Strassberg, organised by Freundeskreis Selketalbahn e.V.

December 1995

After the conflict between HSB, DEV and DB AG was settled, mid-1995, the locomotive was overhauled at Meiningen according to a HU L7, received an air brake equipment, and was sent back to its "home" network early december 1995:
- a test run was successfully performed 06/12/1995 and the machine was commisionned by HSB,
- a maiden run was performed 17/12/1995 between Gernrode (Harz) et Harzgerode,
- ... and since 18/12/1995 on, it is back into service on the Selketalbahn;
