The narrow gauge (meter gauge) railway network in the Harz, yesterday and today...

• A much simplified map... but exactly what you need to visualize the current structure of the HSB network (.GIF, only 7K)
• Same as above, but, as an addition, it allows you visualize the routes of the regularly scheduled "specials" on the HSB network (.GIF, only 7K)
• Same as above but this map also includes... the former SHE Süd Harz Eisenbahn, the third one of the original companies of meter gauge railways in the Harz, now disappeared (.GIF, only 7K)

Drawings and pictures...

These drawings are NOT for the one who wants to build a live-steam HOm model, but absolutely OK if you want to know... what the small GHE T1 railbus looks like, what a Mallet steam locomotive is, or check that the passenger-cars of the HSB trains, although "all-steel" and modern, still have retained a traditional atmosphere...

• The "100 years-old" 0440T Mallet NWE 11 (99 5901) articulated steam locomotive, in traditional green, black and red, available for "specials" now available for "specials" with her sister 99 5903
• Third sister Mallet 99 5902 (NWE 13) in standard black and red, now stored
• The ex-Heeresfeldbahn 0440T Mallet 99 5906 (NWE 41), just revised and available for "specials" on the Selketalbahn
• The unique 262T 99 6001, available for "specials"
• One of the standard "Babelsberg" 2.10.2T 99 7231 - 99 7248
• The typical look of a (short) HSB train, a "Babelsberg" with only 1 passenger car and the baggage car (HSB trains usually have 2, 3, or more passenger cars...)
• The look of a "steam special" with Mallet 99 5906 and the "Traditionszug", the traditional "green" rake of cars
• A much simplified silhouette of an HSB train, this ones with the 99 6001 262T, 1 2-axle baggage car, 3 passenger cars and the "topless" "Oben Ohne" car...

Well... currently... no pictures yet in these chapters about "the Harz": a number are planned for mid-1996 (systematically using "thumbnails" to keep loading time reasonable...): they will be introduced once the overall architecture and the texts are "frozen".

Modern color shots as well as old black + white pictures are planned...
